Every agent asks the same question sooner or later. Where should I actually buy leads? And every answer you find online is biased, including this one. Redfin's partner programme sends you real buyers from a real portal, and takes roughly 30 to 35% of your commission for the privilege. It just closes them with a third of your paycheque already spoken for.
The retainer crowd: pay monthly, pray monthly
Then there is the retainer model sold by platforms like Market Leader and BoldLeads: a fixed monthly fee, often locked into six or twelve month contracts, in exchange for ad-generated leads of wildly varying intent. Some agents make it work. Plenty of others pay $1,000 a month for a pipeline that never materialises, and the contract keeps billing either way.
